What the students say

vox pop Imran
Imran Binzagr from Saudi Arabia, BSc International Development with Economics: Everything is new! It was a bit difficult adjusting at first, being away from my family and taking care of myself, but luckily I can cook a little bit. The teachers in Bath College are very helpful. I like Bath, though it’s a bit crowded with tourists in the summer. There’s quite a heavy workload of classes and assignments, and more independent study than I’ve been used to, but I like that.”

Helal ALMHEIRI, from United Arab Emirates, BSc International Management: I never did much walking at home (in United Arab Emirates) because the weather is so hot, but I found I was doing so much walking here in Bath that my feet hurt at first! Bath is small and personal, and it’s a safe city so it feels very comfortable and easy to walk around. I had never done laundry or my own cooking before, so that’s been interesting. The teachers at Bath College are very supportive and helpful. I go to the University of Bath every few days to study in their library, which is fantastic. I’ve also got to know some university students who are taking the same degree as I will be studying, and that’s very helpful too.”
