We will actively contribute to developing the careers of individuals through the provision of education and training. We will work with people from across our communities to develop their skills, to improve their life chances and to give them a passion for learning new things or mastering existing skills.

We are committed to maintaining a respectful community where all of our students and staff can learn develop and grow within a dignified and safe place.

The Bath College Care Academy is a training centre that delivers Health & Social Care education & training in an environment designed to replicate clinical and community care.

We work in partnership with health and social care employers/practitioners in order to develop employability skills for the current and future health and social care workforce. We facilitate a community training hub for staff within the sector and members of the wider community in order to meet the needs of the Health and Social Care sector and ultimately those it serves.

Our partnerships for workforce development enable us to develop, support and facilitate meaningful and relevant experiences, with stimulating and interactive opportunities.

The aim of the Bath College Care Academy is to bring together representatives from the local sector to:

  • Better inform Bath College’s education and training opportunities, and to develop and implement strategies that prepare young people and adults for a career in health and social care; with a particular focus on bands 1 – 4.
  • Promote the wider roles available within the health and social sector.
  • Provide a training hub for network members and sector professionals.
  • Develop strategies to support adults, and long term unemployed, with effective training development and progression.
