Volunteering and Activites College Life

There are lots of opportunities at Bath College to get involved in volunteering both within the college and in the local community. Opportunities range from being a college ambassador to refurbishing community areas, or raising money for charity to maintaining Avon’s waterways. There are opportunities to suit everyone, and if there isn’t? We will help you find one.

We are proud of our volunteers and offer a college awards system to those who give up their time to help others; you could even earn our platinum award if you lead a volunteering project yourself.  Students can also become our Volunteer of the Month or be invited to our end of year awards presentation.

At Bath College we believe what you do outside of your course is as important as the course itself, so we organise a number of exciting opportunities over the year.

The Student Participation team work with the Students’ Union to produce an activities calendar full of trips, activities, sports, volunteering and awareness events.  Some of our previous events include:

  • Trips to Thorpe park, Ice skating, city visits and more
  • Activities including; Quiz nights, Film Club, taster sessions,
  • Volunteering in the community and fundraising
  • Football, Rugby, Netball, Basketball, pool, Table tennis and more.
  • Awareness events such as Money Skills week, Healthy Lifestyles and Go green

All the activities we run are suggested by students, so let us know if you think something is missing!

Most activities are free and held on different days of the week.
