Two Bath College Love2Learn students are delighted to have their platters featured on BBC’s Great British Menu.

Top chef, Gordon Jones, took the plates with him to display some of his delicious creations.

Julie and Gwyn are on Bath College’s part-time Ceramics course where they have perfected their craft.

After seeing some of their work, Gordon Jones asked to use the plates to display his food at his Bath restaurant, Menu Gordon Jones.

Julie and Gwyn were dining at Menu Gordon Jones when they noticed the interesting crockery the food is plated on.

Julie said: “It started when we went in with little rectangular dishes for butter after seeing some of the unusual ceramics Gordon serves his food on.

“He really liked the butter dishes so we thought we’d show him some of our other work that we’ve made at the College.”

Gwyn added: “We make a load of stuff, bring it into the restaurant and Gordon says I want this, that and that!”

Great British Menu is on at 8pm on Wednesdays on BBC Two.
