Have you been studying A Levels but have decided this is not for you? Don’t want to wait until September 2018 to start a full time vocational qualification? Come and join the Bath College Care Academy to study our exciting new January start Health & Social Care study programme. Do you want the opportunity to study Health & Social Care and gain 3 A Levels by July 2019, in order to progress to University?

 

Fast-track full-time Level 3 Health & Social Care study programme:
Year 1 – January 2018 – July 2018 60 Credit Diploma in Health & Social Care (broadly equivalent to one AS level).
Year 2 – September 2018 – July 2019 120 Credit Diploma in Health & Social Care (total 180 credits studied broadly equivalent to 3 A levels).

 

There is an opportunity to specialise in Health Science or Health & Social Care in the second year.

  • Communication in HSC
  • Equality & Diversity

Who is the course aimed at?

Anyone aged 16-19 years old.

What are the entry requirements?

4 GCSEs grade C/4 or above, must include English language and maths.

What qualifications will I gain?

Year 1 – Subsidiary Diploma (broadly 1 AS level equivalent)
Year 2 – Extended Diploma (broadly 3 A Levels)

How will I learn?

You will learn through various classroom based but enrichment activities offered through the Care Academy network.

What can I do after this course?

Sector employment, intermediate or advanced apprenticeship, Higher Education.

Are there any additional costs?

£90.00 course fee (£40 materials, £30 uniform and £20 trips).

What funding is available?

16-18 fully funded 19+ learner loan/full fee required.

 

If you are aged 19 or over you may be eligible to apply for a 19+ Advanced Learning Loan to cover your tuition fees.

Where will I need to go on my first day?

On your first day, please report to the Reception in Roper Building.
