Transport Maintenance Level 1 Diploma
This level 1 diploma course covers many aspects of light vehicle maintenance and repair. The small bite-sized units of this qualification will equip you with a wide range of skills to drive forward your career in the motor industry!

Who is the course aimed at?
This course is most suited for people aged 16-18 who are just starting (out on their) vocational learning.
What are the entry requirements?
You will need English and Maths GCSE at grade D/3 or above, and will also be required to attend an interview.

Level 1 Diploma in Transport Maintenance

How will I learn?
60% practical workshop sessions, 40% theory based classroom sessions.
What hours will I be in college?
Three days per week for six hours each day.
How will I be assessed?
There will be practical assessments, knowledge assignments and online testing. You will use an electronic portfolio to upload you work and collate achievement.
What can I do after this course?
Progress onto Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles Level 2 full-time course or start an apprenticeship.

Where will I need to go on my first day?On your first day, please report to the Reception in the Cam Building at Somer Valley Campus.
