So what is a T Level?
Developed alongside industry to ensure that your course further meets the needs of employers, a T level is an exciting full time vocational equivalent to an A Level programme of study. The focus of a T level is to provide you with a clear ‘line of sight’ into work within your chosen sector and is a mixture of physical and virtual in class learning alongside a substantial period of time of at least 45 days in the workplace. A T Level therefore consists of;
- an approved technical qualification that provides technical knowledge and practical skills specific to a learner’s chosen industry or occupation,
- at least a 45 day work placement within your chosen industry or occupation
- English, maths and digital requirements (English and maths at a minimum of Level 2).
- Development of transferable workplace skills.
The overall aim of the T Level is to provide the knowledge and experience needed to open the door into skilled employment, further study or a higher apprenticeship.
Our Assistant Principal, Jon, has put together this handy video to explain how T Levels will work, click the button below to watch it, or scroll on to find out what T Level routes we will have available.
