Students can start the course with any qualification depending on existing skills and experience. For the best chance of success, we recommend that students begin their studies with a good standard of English and maths. The student must have the AAT Level 2 Qualification before the Level 3 enrolment.
The course will be taught in classroom (face-to-face) and online teaching. The students will be assessed internally and externally. The internal assessment will be a sample assessment with marking scheme. Tasks will be accompanied by marking schemes and are reflective of the depth of content coverage, level of demand, duration and mark allocation of tasks that will be in the live assessment.
AAT Membership fees - you need to register for AAT student membership in order to study this qualification, sit assessment and have access to study support resources to help you succeed.
If students are not local or travel to Bath College City Centre Campus, an extra fee may occur to participate in the exams.
The standard qualification fee comprises four assess fees at 49 per assessment, plus one Synoptic assessment fee at 54, giving a total of 250. The student will required to pay the assessment fees to your training provider or the assessment venue.
The purpose of this AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting is to provide students with the specialist knoledge and skills required for progressing either to employment in an accounting or Finance role, or to enable progression to further education.This qualification offers technical training in accounting and is ideal for anyone wishing to pursue a career in accountancy and Finance. By studying this qualification, students will acquire lifelong professional accountancy and Finance skills. Furtherore, the course will build on the knowledge learned in the Foundation level 2 accounting units and develop bookkeeping skills, taken to an initial trial balance. It will take studnets from Elements of Costing at Foundation level and gets them reedy to prepare Organisational budgets and report on performance at professional level. Apprentices can study an AAT Level 3 qualification while working in an accounting role to improve their skills and performance at work.
Students will progress from this course after a successful completion either to full time employment in accounting role or to pursue to AAT Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting Qualification.
