Part Time Qualifications - Massage Therapies Diploma L3 (23/24)

Course Overview

This qualification is based on the national occupational standards for massage therapy and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a massage therapist.

This programme will develop learners' knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety, the history and origins of massage therapies and how to effectively contribute to the overall running of a business. Learners will also develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to consult with clients, successfully promote and retail products, whilst also providing a variety of massage therapies. In parallel, learners will develop their communication and customer service skills, their awareness of environmental sustainability and their commercial skills, all of which are valued highly by employers. Problem solving and research skills will also be developed.

This course is aimed at adults aged at 18 and 19+. Each candidate will be contacted for an interview.

 

You will gain a VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Massage Therapies. This qualification will enable learners to become members of the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (BATBTAC) or Federation of Holistic Therapists (FCT).

 

Upon successful completion of this course, you can find employment as a massage therapist in a variety of contexts which include: destination and day spas, commercial salons, massage clinics, independant/self-employed/mobile/home-based settings, cruise liners, airlines or hotel chains, and care homes. 

This qualification is funded by the government's Adult Education Budget in England. Eligible learners aged between 19 to 23 can enrol for free as part of their first full Level 3 qualification. The course will run two days a week and involve a mix of face-to-face lessons in the classroom and online classes. The Tuesday class will be delivered at the City Centre Campus all day while the Wednesday class will take place online from 18:00 to 20:00.
