Digital Product, Design and Development (T Level)
Digital skills are vital to all organisations. This T level will enable you to develop knowledge and skills in digital product maintenance and development, digital collaboration, creative problem solving and managing risk particularly when developing software.
Bath is ideally situated to undertake this Digital T Level. Bristol and Bath have been cited by Tech City UK as the third largest and the most productive tech cluster in the UK; with over 36,000 digital workers to date and an £8.1bn digital tech turnover. The recent Coronavirus pandemic has also seen companies and sectors even more on their digital strategies and development. Adjacent to our ideally situated City Centre campus is the Bath Quays site which is Bath and North East Somersets exciting project to stimulate Bath’s businesses and ‘offer exciting spaces for the digital, technology and creative companies who can deliver the right type of jobs for Bath’s economic future as well as new homes. Digital skills are a key priority for the city and Region and we want you to be a part of it’s future.
What topics are covered?
Core content of this route will include, development of the understanding of business content, ethical and moral issues, handling of data and analysis, digital environments, diversity and inclusion, learning, legislation, planning, security, testing and tools. This core content is assessed through an examination and a practical employer-set project. The employer-set project ensures students have the opportunity to combine core knowledge and skills to develop a substantial piece of work in response to an employer set brief. This employer set project is designed to be used in relation to Digital Production Design and Development.
