Interior Design – Bathrooms & Kitchens
Kitchens and bathrooms can be the trickiest rooms to tackle in any home. This interior design course focuses solely on bathroom and kitchen design for the home. Everything you need to design your perfect kitchen and bathroom is covered from making the best use of space, storage, building issues and regulations, health and safety, to colours, textures and surfaces.

Use of space, trends and styles, maximising storage, building issues and regulations, health and safety, colours, textures and surfaces.
Who is the course aimed at?
Anyone who wants to redesign their kitchen or bathroom. No prior experience necessary.
Who will be my tutor?
Sim Barker is a designer with 17 years experience working with domestic and commercial interiors.The rooms she creates are warm and welcoming, bringing beauty into client’s homes and workplaces. Sim has also worked with many of the UK’s designer paint makers, who value her unrivalled eye for colour and style.
How will I learn?
You will learn through the creation of mood and concept boards, by drawing and measuring and discussing ideas in class. You will the option to use Adobe Photoshop if you wish and you will work on Apple Macs.

Where will I need to go on my first day?On your first day, please report to the Reception in the Roper Building at City Centre Campus.
What do I need to bring?
Notepad and pen. A3 folder to put your work would be useful.
What else do I need to know?To avoid disappointment, please make sure you enrol on your chosen course early. Decisions regarding running or cancelling a course are made one week prior to the start of the course. If a course is cancelled, you will be informed and your course fees refunded in full.
