Want to build a professional portfolio with real garments? This course will take you from a beginner to a confident designer who can progress in the fashion and textiles industry.
You will leave with a recognised qualification, awarded by the University of the Arts London, a top 2 university for art and design.
This opens the door to universities and your first entry-level role in fashion and textiles.
Why should you take this course?
You need 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including a creative subject, English Language, and Maths.
You will need to attend an interview to see if the course is right for you.
If the course isn't the right fit, our tutors recommend the Level 2 Fashion, Business & Retail or the Level 1 Art, Design & Media courses.
You will attend lessons at the City Centre Campus in Bath.
With the help of our expert fashion and textile tutors, you will develop your own style and master the techniques you need to progress to university or work.
And the City Centre Campus offers modern equipment and specialist workshops, so you can craft pieces in a professional setting.
As well as this, no two days are the same.
Course trips are available to research the work of professional designers.
Guided workshops help you develop the skills you need for your next step.
All coursework is project-based, so you build a portfolio as you complete your assessments and build skills you will use at work.
Each class and assignment will help you become a confident, creative professional for a career in fashion.

You can also go to university to study a fashion degree.
Previous students have progressed to the University of the Arts London, Bath Spa University, Bristol Old Vic Theatre Costume, and Falmouth University.
Many previous learners now run their own fashion and textile businesses.

The Fashion & Textiles pathway are designed to help you gain confidence, establish a solid foundation of knowledge, and develop your core creative skills. In addition to a portfolio of work, on successful completion you will be awarded a nationally recognised qualification issued by University of the Arts London (UAL).
The college provides basic materials for the course.
But you may need some equipment to finish your own creative projects.
Study trips will cost extra, but you will be notified ahead of time.
