Level 2
Do you want to take your first step into the business side of the fashion industry? This course will help you build the skills and knowledge to become a work-ready professional in fashion.
If you want to express your creativity and transform it into employability, this course offers you valuable experience.
Why should you take this course?
You need 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above.
We also ask that you're willing to try new skills and learn professional techniques in fashion retail.
You will attend an interview to see if the course is the right fit for you.
If the course isn't quite right for you, our tutors recommend the Level 1 Diploma in Art, Design & Media.
You will cover all paths related to a career in the fashion business and retail sector. This includes:
You will learn at the City Centre Campus in Bath.
The campus offers advanced facilities, so you can experience the latest equipment in the fashion industry.
You also get to attend the following trips to build your knowledge in real fashion retail environments:
And you will also visit the Victoria and Albert Museum to research for a photoshoot, where you will work with the Photography, Hair, and Media Make-up departments.
As well as this, you will set up and run a pop-up shop to build entrepreneurial skills and experience what it's like to be your own boss.
You will also complete a part-time work placement in the fashion retail space which can be paid or unpaid to help you stand out when you apply for work.
Assessments are creative, and you will create several pieces in your sketchbook and present PowerPoints.
This way, you prove yourself with creativity, not essays.
You can progress to a Level 3 course in Fashion, Business, or Media.
Learners who complete Level 3 then progress to university, and others choose the employment route.
Many other learners develop their careers at the company where they completed their work placement.
Best of all, with the pop-up shop experience, you could become your own boss or build a business.
