To study this course, you must be:

• Aged 19 or over
• Unemployed
• On a low income

All that we ask is that you are ready to learn new skills, show up, and work towards a live job interview.

• Maths, English and computer skills
• Work experience in a grounds maintenance role
• Employability sessions to help you prepare for your job interview

You will attend classes at the Somer Valley Camus in Radstock.

Classes take place in our advanced, practical workshops, so you build the hands-on skills that local employers want.

You will attend the other lessons – computer skills, English, maths, employable skills – in small classrooms.

You can also get extra help with interview preparation from our Career Advisers. Email careers@bathcollege.ac.uk to book a one-to-one chat.

You will attend an interview for a live job role with a local grounds maintenance employers.

And, if you want to progress your career in horticulture, you can study a higher-level qualification with your new skills.

You may be able to study this course for free if you do not have a job or earn less than £25,700 per year.
