Entry Requirements

To undertake this apprenticeship, you will need to be employed and working for a minimum of 30 hours per week with a qualified electrician who can provide the appropriate scope of work.

You will need a grade 5 in English and Maths, or C or above, or an Electrical Installation Level 2 with Functional Skills L2 in Maths and English.

How will I be taught and assessed?

You will complete a 4-year apprenticeship, attending college one day per week through term time in years 1 -3, during which you will be taught by our team of fully qualified and experienced electrical lecturers/assessors and assessed through on-line and written exams and assignments plus practical assessments in our modern well-equipped workshops. In Yr4 you will be based totally in the workplace where you will produce an NVQ portfolio of evidence to showcase your practical skills and be assessed by one of our electrical assessors.

Once this is complete, you will be entered for a final, 2.5day End Point Assessment at an independent assessment centre.
