Best of all, you don't need any vehicle maintenance experience. This is your chance to kickstart your career in the industry and start from scratch.
Why should you take this course?
You don't need vehicle maintenance experience, so you can switch careers or take your first step into the automotive industry with ease.
But we do recommend that you have a good standard of English and Maths to succeed.
You will attend an interview with the course tutor.
At the interview, which may include an assessment, the tutor will decide if the course is right for you.
This is also your chance to ask questions about the course.

Tools, Equipment, and Consumable Materials for Vehicle Maintenance
Optional Units:
Engine Operation and Components
Lubrication System Components and Maintenance
Engine Cooling System Components and Maintenance
Spark Ignition System Components and Maintenance
Exhaust System Components and Maintenance
Steering System Components and Maintenance
Suspension System Components and Maintenance
Braking System Components and Maintenance
You will learn at the Somer Valley Campus in Radstock in the state-of-the-art Automotive Centre.
Here, you will learn in a realistic garage environment, so you feel confident in a garage setting after you complete the qualification.
And our experienced tutors will guide you throughout every lesson.
A combination of practical focus and online tests means you will have both the practical experience and expert knowledge to add to your CV and show employers.
You can progress to the full IMI Level 1 Diploma in Automotive Maintenance or an Autocare Technician Level 2 apprenticeship to earn while you learn.
