Entry Requirements

There are no official entry requirements.

But we do ask that you have good creative skills and a willingness to build a strong textiles portfolio for further study or employment.

You will attend an interview to see if the course is right for you and you can ask questions about the course.

What topics are covered?

You will cover a range of key textiles techniques, like sewing, embroidery, craft making – all while you learn essential knowledge to progress to a higher-level course.

How will I be taught and assessed?

You will learn at the City Centre Campus in Bath.

Lessons take place in our creative workshops, with the latest equipment and our expert tutors.

Assessments are practical, so you can prove your skills through creative work, not written essays.

The classroom environment is friendly and welcoming, open to anybody who has been out of education for a while.

What can I do next?

You can progress onto our Pre-Access course.

This is a flexible, part-time qualification to help you study textiles or another creative subject at university or degree level.

It's a bridge to help you go to university without the need of traditional qualifications like A Levels.

You may be able to study this course for free if you:

  • Earn less than £25,700.
  • Do not currently have a job.
