Course Overview
This sewing for beginners course is a practical course taught in a relaxed environment which is aimed towards building your confidence and independence in sewing. You will learn basic sewing machine skills and techniques which can be applied to both clothing and textile projects including: seam finishing, fastenings, developing design ideas, and translating design to basic pattern cutting techniques.
Through demonstrations and individual one-to-one guidance, you will be shown a range of skills and be able to practice techniques required to develop individual projects and explore creative ideas.
The skills you learn will be applied to a final piece to refine your technical ability. By the end of the course you should be able to make a basic skirt to fit.
