Overview:

This level is suited to learners who can manage simple conversations and want to expand their fluency. You will build on everyday vocabulary, develop more complex grammar and increase confidence in speaking and understanding Spanish.

Part One:

Entry Criteria:

  • Confident with the present tense
  • Comfortable handling simple travel situations
  • Able to take part in simple, everyday conversations

Content:

Move beyond beginner level. Revise key basics and begin learning the past tense. Improve pronunciation and build confidence with longer conversations and everyday vocabulary.

Part Two :

Entry Criteria:

  • Basic use of the future tenses
  • Confident talking about everyday life in the present tense
  • Able to understand simple spoken and written Spanish

Content:

Revise present and future tenses, strengthen your use of prepositions and begin the past tense. Practice all four skills through reading, listening, speaking and focused grammar work.

Part Three:

Entry Criteria:

  • Confident with present and future tenses
  • Understand basic prepositions
  • Know the basics of past tenses

Content:

Continue developing your fluency. Deepen your use of present and future tenses, widen your everyday vocabulary and improve accuracy and confidence in conversation.

  • Understand basic grammar (gender, numbers, articles)

What is the aim of the course?
Fees and Funding

Funding
If you are aged 19 or older, and are a UK national living in the UK or EEA for the last three years, you should be able to access government funding towards the cost of your course. Your course will either be free, or partially funded with a small fee to pay.

Free - if you are unemployed, looking for work and claiming benefits; Also, if you are employed & earning below 25k per year.

Partially Funded - if you earn 25,000 or more per year.

Not Funded - if you do not meet the residence requirements. You may be required to pay the full cost of your course, and will not be able to claim any government funding.


We will be able to advise you on your funding eligibility after you apply, but feel free to give us a call if you'd like to discuss your circumstances.
