The Level 2 Certificate in Sport provides an indepth understanding of the sports industry. With industry specific skills being gained, students can expect to understand the skills required to work in a sports setting, whilst also having the opportunity to perform and be assessed practically. With a large range of units being covered, this prepares students fantastically to progress onto any of our Level 3 programmes upon completion.

Students will be required to have at least 4 grade 3's, including Maths and English.

What topics are covered?
How will I be taught and assessed?

Units will be assessed in a variety of methods including practical, group work and exams to ensure all students needs are covered. This also allows for further development of core skills, and soft skills, required within the workplace, as well as replicating that of assessments at Level 3.

What can I do next?

The Level 2 gives students the opportunity to progress onto either of our Level 3 courses upon completion for students to continue their development at Bath College. Outside of this, students can expect to have a good chance of being accepted onto an apprenticeship, or go straight into employment, using the skills gained from the course.

Are there any additional costs?

No additional costs, however it is advised that students buy the coursebook relevant to their course, averaging from 10 - 30.

What is the aim of the course?

The aim of this course is to develop a learners knowledge and skills in a range of areas, including the theoretical and practical elements of sports. Upon completion of our sports course, progression routes include employment opportunities, apprenticeships and further study. Alongside the main qualification, we also focus on developing personal skills and employability opportunities in a rich and diverse experience.
