In fun and exciting sessions, this introduction to environmentally friendly techniques will use sustainable materials with an emphasis on no-waste, ethical, recycling, and re-use green approach.

The course will include:

  • The natural dyeing of fabrics with mordants such as soya milk
  • Eco bundle dyeing to print leaves and foliage and Hapazome
  • The Japanese method of arranging flat leaves and using hammer to print their natural dyes onto fabric
  • Screen textile print of natural images and real leaves and flowers using eco friendly pigments
  • You will use the heat press where natural objects will be printed onto recycled fabrics

During this course, you will also gain an understanding of the processes, their time frame and necessary measuring of dyes and what makes them work. This will be key to underpinning growing skills and knowledge which will enable you to produce fantastic personal artwork.
