Counselling Level 3 Certificate
This level 3 course follows on from our Level 2 Counselling Skills qualification and enables learners to work towards becoming a reflective practitioner of counselling. You will learn theories of human development, self-awareness, supervision and issues of difference and diversity. This level 3 course also provides knowledge and understanding of the three core theories and theorists that underpin counselling and addresses the nature of psychological problems and how they may be approached.
What topics are covered?
This qualification comprises three mandatory units:
- Developing Counselling Skills
- Towards Reflective Practice
- Counselling Theory
What are the entry requirements?
You will need to hold the Level 2 Counselling Skills qualification and undertake an interview.

Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills.

Who will be my tutor?
How will I learn?
There will be many different resources used for learning that will help meet the individual needs of students covering Practical and Theory.
There will be 4 additional one day workshops. Dates to be arranged.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through written journals, practical exam and a short external exam.
What can I do after this course?
Once you have successfully completed your Level 3 course you could progress into sector employment or Higher Education.

Where will I need to go on my first day?On your first day, please report to the Reception in the Roper Building at City Centre Campus.

There will be 4 additional one day workshops. Dates to be arranged.To avoid disappointment, please make sure you apply for your chosen course early. Decisions regarding running or cancelling a course are made one week prior to the start of the course. If a course is cancelled, you will be informed and your course fees refunded in full.
