Advanced Design Craft – Jewellery & Fine Metal

This part-time Advanced Design Craft course is intended for practitioners or returning students with prior experience in either of these craft disciplines. Reflective of contemporary practice this would include an interest in developing design ideas as well as specialist skills to an advanced level. It gives flexibility to work across the discretely different disciplines of jewellery and fine metal. You will need to arrange an interview with the tutor to discuss the course, view the resources and establish it is the right course level for you.

Name:Melanie Sproat



Melanie Sproat is a fully qualified professional designer and maker with specialist knowledge in this subject. She brings a breadth of experience gained from running her own freelance studio practice as well as teaching across a wide spectrum of design based courses. During this time she has received awards and prestigious commissions in her specialism.

Where will I need to go on my first day?

On your first day, please report to the Reception in the Roper Building at City Centre Campus.

To avoid disappointment, please make sure you enrol on your chosen course early. Decisions regarding running or cancelling a course are made one week prior to the start of the course. If a course is cancelled, you will be informed and your course fees refunded in full. Please see Terms and Conditions of Enrolment.

The course will not run on bank holidays or during half term. Please check the term dates.
