Botanical Illustration – Part 1

Learn how to illustrate directly from nature. You will be shown how to create beautiful botanical illustrations from a range of subject matter under the tuition of a highly experienced professional botanical illustrator.

What topics are covered?

Observational drawing, use of pen and ink for botanical illustration, watercolour techniques used to express form, texture and detail on leaves, fruit and flowers.

How will I learn?

Sessions will include tutor demonstrations, group discussion, study of contemporary botanical art and artists, as well as one-to-one tuition and plenty of time for practical application.
