Bricklaying Intermediate Apprenticeship

Course Overview

This Apprenticeship is for those learners who are first time entrants into the construction industry who are carrying out bricklaying tasks on a regular basis. You will be working on a

construction site or in domestic and commercial premises. As a bricklayer you will be setting out structures and carrying out complex building work to given specifications.

Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Trowel Occupations (Construction)

Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying

Functional Skills in English Level 2

Functional Skills in Maths Level 2

Employer’s Rights and Responsibilities



What are the entry requirements?

Minimum of ‘D’ grade in GCSE English and Maths or Functional Skills Level 1


How will I be assessed?

Assessment in the workplace with college day release plus exams

What can I do after this course?

Successful candidates can progress to Advanced (Level 3) Apprenticeship in Bricklaying. After gaining work experience in the chosen occupational area there are also opportunities to progress into occupational work supervision, management or technical support areas.
