The Higher National Certificate in Business is ideal for you if you are seeking a higher education qualification, training or an apprenticeship in the world of business. The HNC provides specialist business education over one year. You will gain a thorough grounding in the key concepts and practical skills required to progress into employment or continued undergraduate studies
The course aims to provision you with the skills required to analyse and assess practice in the context of business management, whilst developing your personal communication and reflective learning skills to make you efficient and effective in a business environment.

To join the course you will need:
80+ UCAS points from
BTEC Level 3 Extended/Diploma or
AS / A2 / A levels or
Access to HE Diploma
English and maths GCSE (full qualification) minimum Grade C/4
Mature students will be considered on an individual basis.

A variety of assessment methods will be experienced to develop your research and study skills, including; management reports, group work and business projects.
What can I do after this course?
You can progress on to the HND following completion of the HNC. On completion of the HND students can apply for a BA ‘Top-up’ degree at university.
How much does this course cost?
This Business HNC costs £6000. If you opt for our 1 year course this will be £6000, or you can do our two year course for £3000 per year.
What funding is available?

Where will I need to go on my first day?On your first day, please report to the Reception in the Roper Building at City Centre Campus.
What else do I need to know?To avoid disappointment, please make sure you apply for your chosen course early. Decisions regarding running or cancelling a course are made one week prior to the start of the course. If a course is cancelled, you will be informed and your course fees refunded in full.
