The Business Higher National Diploma is a Level 5 qualification equivalent to foundation degrees and other higher education diplomas awarded by universities. How will I learn?
The course will be delivered using a blend of teaching and learning methods and will include lectures, group activities, written tasks, personal research and tutorials. This course will provide students with understanding across a wide range of business areas. A key feature of the programme is the support from a dedicated personal tutor available to all students, who will guide individuals through various aspects of study, such as assistance in workload planning, advice on research and guidance on study skills.
What hours will I be in college?
You will attend two days a week (Tuesday and Thursday).
How will I be assessed?
To successfully complete the programme students will need to study 120 credits (8 modules at Level 5). Progress through the course will be assessed through a series of written assignments and oral presentations. Support to help students prepare for these assignments will be offered as part of the programme. Assignment-based study is an important part of this course and will require good communication and number skills, as well as the ability to carry out independent research.
What can I do after this course?
Upon successful completion of this Diploma, you will have the opportunity of completing a final year of a degree programme at a University. Your Progression could be to a specific qualification in Finance , Marketing. or HR. Alternatively, progression could be into employment.
