Course Overview

This new and exciting level 1 Business Tourism and Retail course will provide you with an introduction to business and travel and tourism, allowing you to progress onto further study in a range of topics.

What topics are covered?

  • Contributing to running an event
  • Being organised
  • Organising a meeting
  • Developing a personal progression plan
  • Communicating with customers
  • Functional skills

What are the entry requirements?

An interview is required.

How will I learn?

The course will be a mixture of practical work within a workplace, classroom based learning and exams. You will be encouraged and supported to spend time in the workplace on placement.

What can I do after this course?

Progression routes include a range of our level 2 courses in carious subject areas including Business, Travel and Tourism or Fashion, Business and Retail.

Where will I need to go on my first day?

On your first day, please report to the Reception in the Roper Building at City Centre Campus.

What else do I need to know?

As a full-time student at Bath College, you will follow a study programme consisting of a vocational diploma, maths and English, employability skills, volunteering and tutorial. Please visit our Study Programmes page for details.
