This programme offers you the opportunity to develop pattern cutting skills for creating garments. You will be fully supported and guided by industry trained professionals in our fashion and clothing workshop.
What topics are covered?
Each term we look at different parts of the body and make blocks (first garment) to fit this part of the body. Autumn Term is a skirt. Spring Term is a simple bodice. Summer Term is a dependent of the above. Every term we draft a first pattern (Block) to fit your body and how to make this into a Toile (first garment). You will then learn how to move parts around to design different styles of garment.
