Emergency First Aid at Work Level 2 Award

Our suite of First Aid courses provide you with the opportunity to develop life saving practical skills. We offer a range of programmes to suit your needs and requirements. Our Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work provides the opportunity to develop basic practical skills. All of our First Aid courses offer a mix of theory and practical knowledge and assessment.

 

The level 2 Award in Eenmergency First Aid at Work qualification covers a range of essential emergency first aid topics including the role and responsibilities of a first aider, recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness, managing unconscious casualties, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and responding to incidents involving choking or external bleeding. It also covers how to manage a casualty who is in shock and how to manage a casualty with a minor injury.

What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal entry requirements for this role, however you must be over 16 and able to engage in floor based practical activities and assessments such as CPR.

What qualifications will I gain?

Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work.

Who is the awarding body?

BSC (British Safety Council)

How will I be assessed?

All of our First Aid courses offer a mix of theory and practical knowledge and assessment.

 

You will be assessed by one of our experienced team who are all approved to deliver British Safety Council (BSC) programmes.

DHSL (Department of Hospitality, Spa Industries and Landbased)

Where will I need to go on my first day?

On your first day, please report to the Reception in the Roper Building at City Centre Campus.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring a notepad and a pen. You should wear comfortable clothing suitable for floor based activities, such as CPR.

 

The College Shop (located at our City Centre Campus) offers a wide selection of stationary, course equipment and starter kits to suit your study needs.

What else do I need to know?

To avoid disappointment, please make sure you apply for your chosen course early. Decisions regarding running or cancelling a course are made one week prior to the start of the course. If a course is cancelled, you will be informed and your course fees refunded in full. Please see Terms and Conditions of Enrolment.

The course will not run on bank holidays or during half term. Please check here for term dates.
