Health and Social Care Level 1 Award
This level 1 part-time Health and Social Care course is aimed at adults seeking to gain employment in the Health and Life Sciences sector and is a great introduction to the skills, knowledge and qualities required to be a successful Health and Social Care practitioner. The Health and Life Sciences sector is growing in our region and a career in this sector is both rewarding and enjoyable. You will have the opportunity to develop your understanding of the needs of service users, explore the different roles and responsibilities of careers in the sector and learn how to develop your employability skills to achieve employment progression.

There are no formal entry requirements except you will need to go through the Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) to gain enhanced clearance.

Level 1 Award in Health & Social Care.
Who is the awarding body?Pearson.
How will I learn?
There will be a combination of theory and practical activities, and you will undertake a work experience placement in the sector.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed in a variety of ways to meet the needs of individuals.

This course could lead on to employment or an Apprenticeship.

Where will I need to go on my first day?On your first day, please report to the Reception in the Roper Building at City Centre Campus.

What else do I need to know?To avoid disappointment, please make sure you apply for your chosen course early. Decisions regarding running or cancelling a course are made one week prior to the start of the course. If a course is cancelled, you will be informed and your course fees refunded in full.
