Painting and Decorating Level 2
This construction industry recognised qualification will help you become a qualified painter and decorator. You will study a range of units which include building methods, construction technology, working platforms, preparing surfaces, applying paint, applying paper, decorative finishes, spray equipment, communication skills and health and safety.
From September 2017 this course will be based at our new state-of-the-art Construction Skills Centre at our Somer Valley Campus.
What topics are covered?As a full-time student at Bath College, you will follow a study programme consisting of a vocational diploma, maths and English, employability skills, volunteering and tutorial. Please visit our Study Programmes page for details.
Who is the course aimed at?
This course is most suited for people aged 16-18 and may also meet the needs of mature students up to 25 years.
What are the entry requirements?
Successfully completed Level 1 Painting & Decorating. You need 4 GCSEs at grade D or above.

You can progress to a level 3 diploma course, apprenticeship, employment or a professional route in construction.
