The tutor is very helpful and full of ideas. She runs a lively group and everyone gets on. We started with basic printing and a new topic was introduced weekly to enable us to expand our own ideas.

Lyn Snow was very passionate and thorough in teaching us – I was a complete novice, and am not particularly good at drawing designs – but with her encouragement did not feel this was a disadvantage. Really enjoyed all the creative skills I was shown. Have some lovely textiles which I have utilised – for a headboard, curtains and a framed print. Lovely to have something to keep. Will hopefully do again.

This Course was brilliant. The tutor is really supportive and helps you to achieve your own work, teaching us new techniques with printed textiles each week. At the end of the course I had produced some lovely screen printed and other heat pressed fabrics that I can use for my little business. Highly recommend doing this course. I have now enrolled on the creative textiles course, for the 2nd time. I am now in my third term in the classes.

The teacher has great enthusiasm and talent and in the last two terms has exposed us to many different printing techniques. She brings an incredible library of books with examples of different techniques and students are allowed to explore the type of printing that they are most interested in. In two terms I’ve made great progress and I feel I have made some very attractive textiles so I’ve signed up for the summer term too.

I first enrolled on the Summer School last year and was totally hooked. In four days we learnt so much and I signed up for the Tuesday evening class. I am a ceramicist and through the wonderful teaching I have been able to produce work that compliments my existing practice. I have learnt many exciting printing techniques and love this new way of working. The teacher also shares her extensive library with us as well as her expertise in an exciting and generous way.

This course has been wonderful. I’ve certainly learnt more than I’d expected and teacher the teacher has been great – incredibly knowledgeable, patient and motivating. We’ve covered so many techniques, yet still have the freedom to focus on our own projects. I’m hooked, and about to sign up for another term!
