Printmaking (CPD) – Holiday Workshop
This Printmaking CPD course is designed for art and design teachers or for anyone interested in taking printmaking processes into a learning environment. You will be guided through technical information, be provided with handouts to help you record the processes and be given tips on how to deliver back in the classroom. Some processes will be appropriate for school classroom activities, whilst others will introduce you to the specialist equipment available in the college printmaking studio.
What topics are covered?
Print development from primary and secondary sources; Monoprinting; Relief printing; Intaglio Printing (drypoint); Presentation of development work and final prints; Tips on annotation and recording processes.
How will I learn?
You will learn from set tasks and actively producing your own work. You will be given technical demonstrations and learn the dos and donts of basic printmaking. Discussion and peer sharing will be fully encouraged!
Are there any additional costs?
Materials will be provided although extra paper for large print runs may need to be individually purchased. Optional A3 sketchbook for recording work/visual teaching resource.

What do I need to bring?
You will not be required to bring anything with you to the first session as drawing materials will be supplied.
