Site Carpentry and Bench Joinery Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship
The Level 3 course is designed to make the Apprentice more independent and get them to organise work and deal with problems that occur. Assignments at college will take the form of Apprentices producing work from a brief. For Advanced Site Carpentry you will learn how to install complex structural carcassing such as inclined roofs, hips and valleys, roof verge and eaves finishes and dormers. For Advanced Bench Joinery you will learn to make complex bespoke joinery products, such as sash windows doors and stairs. College work will include training and instruction on the same criteria as above, including tests and examinations and practical assessments of the training criteria. Again Apprentices will undertake an NVQ and have to produce a portfolio of work evidence, with observations carried out in the workplace by assessors.
What qualifications will I gain?
Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Wood Occupations (Construction), Site
Carpentry or Bench Joinery.
Level 3 Diploma in Carpentry
Functional Skills in English Level 2
Functional Skills in Maths Level 2

Day release at college with exams and practical assessment.

Exams and practical assessment.
What can I do after this course?
Successful candidates can continue and progress their career or build on their skills and study a Higher Level qualification such as a Level 6 Diploma in Construction Site Management.
