Childcare Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship

Course Overview

This Level 2 Childcare Apprenticeship is for those who are looking to work in childcare and who care about helping to give children the best start in life. The apprentice will assist practitioners in daily duties including supporting children’s learning and development, cleaning and following all health and safety duties in place. You will be working under supervision within an early learning/childcare setting usually caring for young children eg, preschool, childminder, nursery or creche.

What qualifications will I gain?

L2 Certificate for the Children and Young People’s Workforce

Functional Skills in English Level 2

Functional Skills in Maths Level 2

Functional Skills in ICT Level 1


How will I be assessed?

Assessment in the workplace with college day release

What can I do after this course?

Successful candidates can progress to the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship.
