Hairdressing Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship
Advanced apprentices take their learning a step further by developing their cutting, colouring and styling skills so they can carry out all the latest fashion techniques – and maybe even determine the fashion looks of the future. They will take part in planning and carrying out a photoshoot and have options to learn application and maintenance of hair extensions and smoothing and straightening techniques.
Who is the course aimed at?
This course is suitable for anyone wishing to develop their skills in this vocational area.
What are the entry requirements?
NVQ 2 hairdressing and a minimum of ‘D’ grade in GCSE English and Maths or Functional Skills Level 2.
What qualifications will I gain?
Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing
Functional Skills in English Level 2
Functional Skills in Maths Level 2
Employer’s Rights and Responsibilities
How will I learn?
Assessment in the workplace with college day release plus exams and projects.
What can I do after this course?
Successful candidates will be able to move into more senior positions such as Salon Manager or ownership, or progress on to a Foundation Degree.
Are there any additional costs?
You will need to purchase a uniform and hairdressing kit.
