Health Care Practice HNC
This year long HNC in Healthcare Practice provides great emphasis on employer engagement and work readiness in the health and social care sector. It focuses on skills essential to working in all areas of health and social care. It is designed to reflect the increasing need for high quality professional and technical education pathways, thereby providing students with a clear line of sight to employment in the health and social care sector or continued progression on to health care education.
The course aims to develop your practical and theoretical knowledge of healthcare practice and prepare you for academic or professional progression.
What topics are covered?
Law, policy and ethical practice in health and social care, Fundamentals of Anatomy and Physiology for Health and ill-health, Supporting the individual journey through integrated health and social care.
What are the entry requirements?
80 UCAS points via BTEC Level 3 Extended/Diploma, AS/A Levels, Access to HE Diploma. English and Maths GCSE grade C/4. Mature students will be considered through interview and are encouraged to apply.

You will gain a Level 4 HNC in Health Care Practice.

How will I be assessed?
The course will be delivered using a blend of teaching and learning methods and will include lectures, group activities, written tasks, personal research, practice based work (work experience) and tutorials. The course combines theory and practice based assessment to enable you to develop the knowledge and skills required to meet the demands of a career in the healthcare sector. This may include a work-based assessment, reflective log, case study reviews and professional discussions.
What can I do after this course?
You can progress to a HND in Healthcare Practice or on to an undergraduate degree where you can achieve a full bachelors. Alternatively having gained a wealth of practical and theoretical knowledge and wider employability skills you can progress in to the health care industry.
How much does this course cost?
This HNC in Health Care Practice costs £6000, you can complete this course full time over one year for £6000 or over two years, part time for £3000 per year.
